CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Harvard quarterback Conner Hempel and MIT wide receiver Brad Goldsberry have been awarded New England Football Writers' Association Gold Helmets after tremendous offensive performances from both players.

Hempel completed 25 out of 31 passes for a career-high 382 yards and three touchdowns and rushed 12 times for 52 yards and two touchdowns in a 49-7 victory over Ivy League opponent Princeton. Harvard moved to 6-0 with the win. The senior from Union, Kentucky, got the Crimson off to a quick start with passing scores of 39 and 49 yards in the first quarter. His pair of rushing touchdowns came in the second quarter, and helped give Harvard a 28-0 lead at the break. In the second half, he added a 42-yard touchdown pass to give Harvard a 42-0 lead to that point. He was named Ivy League Co-Offensive Player of the Week, Dream Bowl Player of the Week and was an honorable mention selection for the CFPA Quarterback Performer of the Week.

A hybrid offensive weapon, Goldsberry led the Engineers in both rushing and receiving in a 35-34 victory over Western New England. The senior from Elizabeth, Colorado, rushed 14 times for 137 yards and a touchdown and caught 10 passes for 95 yards in the game to help MIT improve to 6-0. He also served as the team's returner, amassing 104 return yards to give him 336 all-purpose yards in the game.
